This goes back at least to JFK - his own security detail was at least hung over if not legally impaired when he was assassinated. Inexplicable.

Well we got another one...

SS presidential detail went out partying, got drunk drove back to White House and crashed into a barricade.

DC police tried to detain and give sobriety checks but SS supervisor interceded and let them go home.

Those guys are going to get the President killed.

These guys have been like this for years. These are my anecdotal stories of the secret service.

After Bush was elected president he came to Fargo. Before he showed up his SS detail was in town prepping. This included going to local bars and picking fights with people. Unfortunately one of them picked a fight with a defensive tackle that played for NDSU and got his doors blown off.

Growing up a family friend was on the SS in the 70s and 80s. The guy was like De Niro in "Meet the family". His poor daughter! He also got pissed at a neighbor and came out shooting his gun in the air. That got him arrested. But also no charges(surprise surprise).

I have more of a problem with the guy that didn't arrest the driver than I do the guys who got drunk.

Exactly why wasn't he arrested?

Utterly disgraceful. If Obama personally fired all people involved he would get a standing ovation from democrats and republicans both. These people are literally an embarrassment to the country.

It's what totally unappreciated yet dedicated guys/gals who are willing to die for their president at the drop of a dime do in their off-duty spare time to promote unity, camaraderie and bonding among themselves, just like our own SEALS/SOF's do. That's the kind of folks that get attracted to these kinds of jobs.

Same with gladiators of old and what any person facing certain death would do if they could......get stupid drunk, have glorious sex and live like there's no tomorrow, of which for them is a whole lot more likely.

Mind you, I'm not condoning their off-duty behavior, just say'in is all. ;)

He wanted to give him a sobriety test but someone higher up in the SS wouldn't allow it. One of the SS agents involved was the #2 on Obama's detail. Had it been you or me. we'd be in the drunk tank. It's like that crooked judge in Ferguson, getting his friends off tickets and I'd guess DUI's as well.

probably because the arresting officer was told with a nice wink that an arrest would not be good for his career. Those drunk shitheads will probably be back on the job within a month.

Gladiators regularly died, these guys don't. They don't even have dangerous jobs at all, statistically. They should party on their own time. Anybody caught with any alcohol in their blood on duty should be summarily fired, no appeal no questions at all. These guys are displaying terrible decision making skills or impulse control and yet are allowed next to the president while armed. It is absurd.

I'll never forget Obama's appointee to run SS who said she wanted a "Disney" atmosphere

I'll just let the above 2 quotes speak for themselves, though I'm sure the Obamaphiles will be enraged.

Precisely. And if Obama did what Blanky posted, I'd give him a big thumbs up.
