What the Hell is Wrong with Me???

😕OK, so there has to be something wrong with me, and I have no clue what it is. I'm hoping someone here can help me out....

A few months ago my fingers went completely numb out of nowhere (not tingly--NUMB). It happened a second and third time. I went to the doctor's. He told me I had "Reynaud's Phenomenon"--your fingers get cold and they go completely numb. OK, sounds good to me.

Well, ever since then my limbs have been falling asleep. I'll lay wrong, and my leg, arm, or hand will fall asleep--much more often than normal. Today I was walking around and my hand just fell asleep! What the hell???

The only thing I could find online was something called Neurapraxia of the cervical cord--but this occurs mostly with atheletes (football players) who are always being tackled. Lord knows I'm not a football player!

Please help!

Sarah

Could be carpal tunnel. Former gf had those symptoms - scared us both pretty badly one time she woke at 5am and couldn't feel her arms.

Try switching to a trackball.

I second the poor circulation. Try more physical activity, stretching, and better nutrition. And, of course, if it keeps happening, keep talking with the doctors about this, and try to rule out any potential heart condition.

Dayum! I haven't seen you in a looooong time. HI! lol

I've had weird symptoms kind of like that and I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I also have tendonitis in my wrists.

Hope you get better soon.

Smoking decreases blood vessel size (causes them to constrict). Stop smoking (I doubt you do but a fun piece of info)

Go see a neurologist. If no answer there, go see a heart and circulatory specialists. Do not look for answers from here.

I have this happen sometimes. I've never seen a doctor or anything, I just figured something weird was wrong with me. I think I would go with Ulfwald on this one and see a circulatory specialist right away. I'm sure that I've got something wrong with my circulatory system but it isn't important enough yet that I've worried about it.

For quick fixes you can try putting your feet or hands in really warm/hot water.
