What the hell is wrong w/ my setup??? 3dMark2000 scores WAY too low...

i'm getting only about 2900 scores on my comp. check my sig for my components. i'm running on win2k. is it win2k that's drawing it back? i saw someone having a similar setup and he's in the 5-6000's.

Yap that way to low for your system, have your installed all of the "latest" drivers???

Here's a few version numbers...
* Detonator 6.35 from Nvidia www.reactorcritical.com
* Via 4in1 4.25 ( Official www.viatech.com ) or 4.28 ( Beta www.viahardware.com )

Did you get the latest version of 3DMark2000?? v1.1 is the latest....

It's definately Win2k. On my system in Win98SE/ME I usually get in the 7500-7600 area, but when I run it in Win2k I only get in 4000's, or around there. I don't remember the exact score.

Same score (2950) for me on Win98SE.

I get around 4500 on my WIN 98 system, but as long as your games run how you want them, then that's all that matters.

I have a similar setup as you, I get approximately 5000 on 3DMark2000 v1.1.

I'm using Via4-in-1 version 4.28 and Nvidia driver v6.35.

Is your BIOS settings been optimized?

3dmark doesnt run correctly on Win2k

My score is 11

Direct 3d is a tad slower in win2k compared to win98

but OpenGL is faster in win2k

Yeah win2k is partially to blame. I get about 5500 in win2k and 8000+ in win98se.
