Forgive me if this is a repost but I could not find it.

Apprarently some mother in a southern state (forget which one) put her
baby in a washing machine at a laundromat. What the hell is these
peoples problems? One week someone is beating their kids with rocks
and the next they are stuffing them inside washing machines!!!!

What makes me sick is that they gave her bail! It's $100,000 but still
she should not even be offered bail.

Off to find a link....

thats fukin sick

Basically yeah.. and it was one of the washing machines where the door locks.. the
police officer had to break the glass window in the door to rescue the toddler.

I feel bad for kids with parents like this. They are so innocent.

Guess it was in calif. as well. not a southern state like i thought.

An officer had to break the window with his baton? How long did it take for the cop to show up? Must be pretty quick if she didn't drown. And the mother is only on $10k bail for attempted murder?

Per article

"POMONA, Calif. - A 2-year-old girl was rescued from a locked, running washer at a coin laundry and her mother was arrested after a surveillance tape allegedly showed her putting the child into the machine, police said.

An officer smashed the window of the machine with his baton to rescue the girl, who was "submerged in water," police Sgt. Matt Stone said.

The child was unconscious when she was pulled from the washer Saturday but breathing. She was taken to a hospital where she was listed in serious condition with cuts, scrapes, bruises. She had inhaled some water but was expected to survive, Stone said. "

My friend described a bad trip he had on acid as getting thrashed around in a washing machine. That would suck, poor girl.

The machine apparently locks automatically when the wash cycle begins and does not unlock until the cycle ends, Ramirez said.

Efforts by the girl's mother and bystanders to unlock the door failed.

I can see it now.

"Mother recieves 13.2 million from White Westinghouse for baby killing washers" Just wait

Well, here's an interesting thought experiment.

We all feel bad for the baby now. We're saying things like "I feel bad for kids with parents like this." and "The baby is so innocent" and "What the hell is wrong with these people."

Now, when this kid grows up and isn't exactly normal, people are going to say, "WTF is wrong with people?! Why would somebody do something like that?" And of course maybe it's cause his mom tried to kill him in a washing machine, or maybe it's because he mistakenly believes that having a mom that tried to kill him in a washing machines legitimizes his destructive behavior, or non-social behavior, or poor status in life, or whatever.

The thing that I find most remarkable about reaching adulthood, is realizing what a dumbass I am. And to realize that all the adults that helped me grow up and looked after me, were scarcely less dumbass-like. And then suddenly, you come to the realization that reality has left us to take care of ourselves, when in reality, we are completely and wholely incapable of such an auspicious task. Granted, we do a pretty good job, but if you look through history and around the world, it almost seems as though it's inspite of our flaws, rather than due to our genius.

So what are you saying Moonbeam? It's not her fault? Or simply they should'nt be so hard on her?

-Confused.

90% of the people who were born in "The South" are mentally retarded. This excludes modernized areas of "The South".

That'd explain this occurance. Man, people make me sick.

Maybe he was dirty? Could this be a variation on the washing your mouth out with soap procedure? 😉

Just kidding...

In all seriousness...that is totally f'ed up. :|

Edit:

Her mother, Erma Osborne, 35, of Pomona, California, later was arrested for investigation of child endangerment and held on $10,000 bail.

Child endagerment? How about attempted murder? It doesn't appear this was a mistake....

Evidently you are retarded enough that you didn't read the whole thread, nor did you read the article. It happened in California. Moron.

No California bashing yet? :Q I'm amazed.

I'll start then.

"F*ckin Californian hippies. This just shows that the state is made up of idiots and should be nuked off the face of the Earth."

How'd I do guys? 🙂
