Green Bean flavor FTW. Its a neat little drink out of taiwan. Can't believe all the haters here.. to each their own I guess.

Its disgusting is what it is...

Tried it during a summer job when I hung out with Hong Kongers. You can get it without the tapioca, but the tapioca is the best part; nice chewy ball/bean thing. It gives you gas though apparently.

unless you are drinking the original bubble tea, I would skip it. So none of that phantom fruit flavour shit.

It starts with black tea, then you add milk, sugar and icecube and shake it. The bubble refers to the bubble you created with vigorous shaking, nothing to do with the Tapioca at all. Tapioca was a later addition.

All the flavours other than the original are chemical flavouring, that shit ain't good for you.

Is this a thing that is really only found in places with large china-towns or large populations of Asians of some type?

Never heard of the shit, and sounds like either a yuppie thing or one of the nasty weird things that half of Eastern Asia always seem to love.

Sweet Tea, or sweetened Green Tea with Lemon, cold... that's all I can do when it comes to tea.

It's found in many more places now than just in asian/china town areas.

Some are very americanized as well, almost like a smoothie/coffee shop.

Usually places that sell these bubble teas also sell all sorts of slushies, smoothies, etc.

I've replaced water with boba tea. I make it at home though. Half milk, half tea, and too much boba 😉

still in the O? when i was there i went to the place on bethel across micro center. good stuff.

Tea with Milk in it's a fucking abomination, the fact the cups at a lot of places that serve it have a choking hazard warning on them should be the other sign this drink is best avoided. The Milk alone is enough to keep me from fucking with it.

The only people who choke are the people who love swallowing shit whole

I have to agree, and I grew up with and used to like British/Indian style tea with milk and sugar.

The milk really ruins the taste of the actual tea, and supposedly much of the health benefits, as well. If I want a hot drink with milk and sugar, I go for hot chocolate - much better, in my opinion.

I don't begrudge those who like bubble tea, but it doesn't taste right to me. I love freshly brewed green or white tea from whole leaf, and occasionally black or other teas. Unsweetened or minimally sweetened.

In Ohio but no longer near Columbus - graduated and returned to Toledo.

And damn you for mentioning Micro Center - having a MC so close was awesome, here in Toledo the store on Bethel is still the closest MC. :\
