When I first heard about this is I thought it was just tea served in a container with a bubble type slurpee from 7-11. Then I thought it was just some carbonated drink for airheads.

Can someone fill me in here? :hmm:

I personally hate smoothies with tapioca, the texture is gross. also the ice in smoothies generally does not make tapioca happy. A nicely made PMT/boba tea/bubble tea with decently soft bubbles is delicious, though.

They're good depending on the quality of the store you get them at. It's hard to find Almond flavor but that is my favorite.

Disgusting? it's not weird enough to be disgusting... hah

I kinda like bubble tea.. I don't get it anymore since my last GF used to always drag me to go, but I didn't mind the drink itself.

With the texture tapioca has, it might as well be jizz. It just feels so gross. It's like I'm sucking on a slug.

YMMV, I guess - there's a huge difference between shitty tapioca and good tapioca. But tapioca seems like a love/hate kind of thing.

I get a mango bubble tea w/ tapioca basically every time I get pho. The milky tea lets me really crank up the heat in my pho without torturing my mouth. I'd say I have it once a week.

Don't have the variety of jellies available at your bubble tea locations???

as a SoCal resident, I can assure you every flavor of boba tea imaginable is within a 30 minute drive.

I just hate the taste of boba; it was cool when I was 16, but that passed real quick. (holy shit, it's been over a decade since boba exploded)
