Great... a homophobe in ATOT... freagin wonderful

Maybe he's mad because someone said I was queer?

Well seems to me you have not laid out your case in this situation either. Did you ever deny you gay in this thread. Or are we summoning up conclusions on prior knowledge that you don't like the man A**. Please clarify your case so a more reasonable response will be given.

(Still doesn't deny that fact he's a homophobe)

just found this on a british manorisms site and it was well buried but I was interested to know what it meant also

But if you call someone a spoon, then you are saying he is a dork--Ouch! Sorry.

WTF? I'm not a homophobe. I'm not going to even attempt to convince your immature self that fact.

What I was mad about is the common stereotype that the British, as a whole, are gay.

That's comparable to saying that all you Yanks are wifebeater-wearing rednecks, shooting birds flying across your porch while chugging cans of beer.

Pull your head from your colon, KGB, and grow up.

well, thats true, but it must be the least used insult ever. I think I remember someone saying it on the playground at school about once, and thats about it.

seems wierd to call an american a 'british spoon' though.

btw, one thing that's really unfair is the way certain movies and tv shows in the last 5 years or so have clued americans in to some of the more entertaining british swear words. No more can we brits tell americans that bollocks means zits, or tell them that wanker is a compliment.
another simple joy lost from life ;)

Maybe it's 20% larger than a spoon anywhere else, like imperial gallons, quarts, etc.

I really thought I'd get flamed to hell for that one :)

No, you're right. He really needs to pull his head out of his ass and quit being so quick to judge.

He missed on important thing in addition to your point: The person who's saying it is meaning it as an insult. Just because the word isn't particularly insulting to doesn't change the fact that insulting you is what they were trying to do. Generally, people get upset when insulted. Well, except in this case. If you get upset in this case you're a homophobe. That's the world according to KGB at least.

Hey, we're not always chugging beer; sometimes we slow down to simply gulping beer. :p
