i changed it, it works. anyone know where the multiple connection patch is?

What "multiple connection patch"? 😕

If you mean HTTP Pipelining, then type about:config in the address bar, and set network.http.pipelining to true.

Because it's a relative unknown from a small vendor and, though the geeks would argue otherwise, it's a noob application. IE owns it.

Darn, they had you change proxy

FFS Skoorb, get the fvck off your high horse.

Not everyone uses Microsoft based products. Get over yourself.
If you used MS you would have a much calmer outlook on life. Once you embrace it and stop fighting this constant, losing struggle against the giant you will find peace you've never known.

I'm crossing fingers and praying non-stop in the hopes that that was sh!tty sarcasm.

it wasn't. then again, you'd have to read another thread to see where I'm coming from.

ROTFL.

You are so naive (or at this point....is it called ignorant?) . Did i EVER claim that I strictly use non-microsoft products?

I use whatever tool is needed for the job. Whether it is Microsoft based or Linux based, as long as it does the job right then I'm all for it. I'm also one to make cost-effective decisions since we aren't all made of money. If a Linux based solution preforms very well for a particular task and the price is much cheaper then the Microsoft based solution, I'd have to be a fvcking idiot to go for the Microsoft based solution.

However, that's not to say that Linux wins on all counts. For some things, Microsoft would be the ideal solution.

obviously this wasn't a case of blocked firefox 🙂 But if I were managing, I'd keep it IE only because the updates are manageable. Some know-it-all could install Firefox and never decide to patch it themself when something is discovered... too many unknowns... basically what Phoenix86 said.

can't find that patch online, getting 404 errors left and right. anyone saved a copy somewhere?

if it is just a web page, look at google's cache, if it's a program you are looking for, then, yea, ask someone for it, with the exact name of the prog

I dunno how anyone can live without mouse gestures and adblock (and no, it's not just a popup blocker for you IE-only ppl)

I'm just amused at the fact that you are so terribly insulted at the fact that somebody couldn't give less of a crap about anything non-MS, and moreover is just one of many thousands like him, all of whom create good products for their clients, which result in client satisfaction.

The fact of the matter is that there are always software alternatives and the more time I spend learning something non MS, the less time I spend learning the MS solution. Since almost all of our clients use MS solutions, it makes sense to concentrate on MS. In any case MS has the majority of business needs covered with its plethora of software packages and superior support.

I still havn't found a Microsoft NAT product that isn't crippled. ISA server = crippled. RRAS = crippled. ICS = cripped.

If you don''t give a crap about non-ms software. That's fine. However, calling a guy who uses Linux based solutions a noob because they assocate themselves with that "worthless crap" is bashing them to unnecassary levels.

Both OSS and close source software need each other to survive. I like choice. Not having choice makes me feel....like I have absolutely no power in the decision making.process.
