This past Satturday i decided to get the alignment on my Camry checked up cause of a drag to the right. Before I go on I have to mention that I had to change the tire on the front passenger side and the new tire has different thread design when compared to the other three(but the size is the same).

Anyways me thinking this coudl be a alignment issue go down to one of them tires plus shops and get it checked out. They come back and tell me that the alignment is perfect. But when i insist that there is pull to the right they tell me that it would be better to move the front tires o the rear and vice versa. Anyways they do that and now I have a friggin bumpy, hard drive. My camry had a awesome smooth ride before this ...damn...coudl anyone out here enlighten me a bit before I go back there????

Well, it could be one of your tires is jacked up. Does your stearing now jitter? I need to replace one of my tires because it has a "bump" in it (stupid POS michelins)...my sister had the same thing happen to one of her tires. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it because the stearing was jittering back and forth, so I took it to my local shade tree mechanic and after changing the front brake pads (needed to be done) we rotated the tires. That's when we found that the tire was messed. It's hardly noticable in the back though, that's why I guess you may have the same thing - if the bad tire was in the back you probably wouldn't notice it, but in the front it was very noticable...

Is there any damage to your car? What you are talking about sounds kie a car that had been hit and has been knocked slightly out og wack. First I would say as painful as it is replace the tires and then watch tire usage very carefully. Next time you take you car in tell them what is happening and have them check for frame damage. Also the next time you get an alignment done on your car check the alignment record. Ask,no demand to see the alignment record and note what the Canter and Camber settings are at. If you have an questions take it to another shop (like Americas Tire Co. or who ever else may be in you area to have them look at it.

Didn't the garage advise you not to just change one tyre?
It can be problematic due to different grip levels and the way the tyre runs-some tyres have more, some have less drag, depends on efficiency and whether they are directionless or not. Should at least have kept same tyre design, sounds like tyre may be causing tramlining. Got to go anyway, good luck.
