Yo guys, I have recently bought new 144Hz monitor acer XB240H and I have problems with color on that one. Actually everything is cool as long as you gaming, although contrast is horrible and I have no idea how to adjust it properly but nevermind it's not about that. I have noticed strange rainbow thingy around fonts and they are too sharp. I reinstalled my PC using this display in hope that it will just adjust automatically but unfortunately it hasn't. Here are some photos how does it look... Other fonts on different background are fine just this windows ones on every PC.

Could you check in your monitor osd if you set the sharpness to maximum? That would make these very visible rainbow colors. Default sharpness should be 50%. Gaming mode or Overdrive might have an influence as well on the sharpness setting.

To echo Piroko, I have found that most displays with text artifacts are directly tied to a "Sharpness" setting or some other form of processing used to "enhance" the image. As a general rule, if you are using the display at its native resolution, you should turn off any and all processing.

What sort of cable are you using to connect? Is it brand new or old?

If you can rule out the display settings and the connection to the display, then it is probably the display itself that has the problem.

Well after 2 weeks Acer Service just wrote me to ask my seller for refund cuz something is wrong they dont know what is happenin. I borrowed cheap monitor with TN matrix and this problem still occurs but is less noticable. Actually both of them are tied to Sharpness parameters and now Im lookin forward new monitor, would you recommend something for me to gaming? 144Hz and 24 inches which wont have such a problems with performance?

Edit: I just realized that my replace monitor has possibility to regulate Sharpness and I changed it to maximum - such rainbow wow like on a gay pride and finally adjusted to 40% which made artefact completely dissapear. What I would recommend is not to buy Acer XB240H as all of them have this problem with factory sharpness that you are not able to change unfortunately. Both, XF240H and XB240H has problems with brighteness and port scanning, monitor each time you switch on your PC is scanning all ports DVI, D-Sub, DP, HDMI. The explanation of service is that was factory defect, they couldn't do nothing about it. Those displays are shit af.. I would recommend to keep away from them. Thanks for suggestions guys that helped a lot :)
