Nope, my contract expired at the end of November. Drawing unemployment right now, which is a pain in the ass. Hopefully I'll find a job in the next week or two.

Still have my '80 Chevy 1/2 ton and the '90 Toyota Tercel. I've put over 12,000 miles on the Tercel since I bought it less than a year ago, although most of that was due to my commute working at Intel.

What kind of perks does Intel have compared to google?

Eli we all love you very much and were all very worried.

You signed up after he quit posting. How do you know who he is?

I do read a lot of old topics. There is no need to post in them you know.

None for me - I was a green badge.

It wasn't nearly as glorious as I thought it would be, although still cool.. Made some good friends and contacts. I plan on applying for a blue badge position whenever they start hiring again. They were going through a lot of changes and hard times in the year I was there.. No opportunities opened up for me, even though I was a highly recognized employee.

Hope things look better soon! I bet Intel was a pretty cool company to work for even if it was only for a little while.

Ack.. I've spent the last hour and a half browsing around. Now I remember why I stopped posting. :p

I've got more important things to do... like finish wiring up the dashboard for the hydrogen generator. ;)

Ha! :Q

I may be wrong, but I think Intel is sort've built on oldish business ideals. At least in the department I was in, they didn't spend any money unless absolutely necessary.

It was an ordeal trying to get them to order more brooms and dust pans, for Christ's sake. :frown:

There was absolutely nothing like that there, just vending machines. Although, in all fairness.. the cafateria was nice. Huge selection of different foods, both american and ethnic.. and they used hormone free and organic foodstuffs where they could. Prices were even fairly reasonable, given their sources of produce and meats.

MS may not pwn Google in much, but they do have a better soda selection. Building 34, at least, has entire rooms lined with pretty much every non-alcoholic drink imaginable.

<---- Not an MS employee

Good to see you Eli. :)
That hyrdogen generator looks interesting. Just be sure not to Hindenburg your garage. ;)

Nahh...

Won't have enough hydroxy gas production to do that until I build a unit big enough for my car. ;) lol

The DB-9 port goes to a programmable PWM controler, which I had a custom PIC and software made for.

It will allow me to vary both the duty cycle and more importantly, the frequency of the PWM, with a resolution of 1Hz.

This should allow me to find the resonant frequency of the water, and realize a huge increase in gas production, like the Steven Meyer experiments.

With 3 cells connected together, I hope to be able to produce enough gas to run the brand new in crate 2A016 two cylinder Military Standard engine that I picked up uber cheap, given its specifications.

Now, unless I'm able to violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics(in which case you will all see me on TV soon;)), this won't be free energy. It will just be very, very cheap - I will use grid power to make up for efficiency losses.

The 3 hydroxy cells should consume about 75A, leaving plenty for charging the battery bank for the 2000W inverter. :)

Mostly though, it's just for fun...
