uhhh...

I have IE open but I've been able to close MSN Messenger before with no problem. I just signed up for a new hotmail account and was logged in under that if it makes a difference...

Use Outlook Express for email?

I've seen going to Hotmail leave that stupid MSN Messenger icon in the systray. I just go to Task Manager and kill off the process.

Yep, sometimes it wants to cause trouble and you have to close it by opening up the task manager and kill msmsgs.exe

Don't use OE, but the reason I signed up for the hotmail account was because 1) I was sick of Juno and 2) My old MSN Messenger account was tied to an invalid e-mail address. Never been to the hotmail site before so I guess that was it.

Killing the process worked, thanks.
