or maybe calling paypal

if paypal refuses to reverse the transaction, call your bank

tell your bank paypal was never authorized to perform the ach out.

bank will then refund the overdraft fee and give you your money back

If you dispute it promptly, your bank must give you provisional credit while conducting an investigation. You'll have to sign an Affadavit of Unauthorized Transaction.

Are you *absolutely sure* that you're not just forgetting a transaction?
