I'd say it's time to find out who the store owner is and bitch.

Thats annoying? I work in a restaurant and we close at midnight. If a customer comes in at 11:59 we seat them and late nighters like to sit and relax and it could be anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours after closing until they leave. I dont see how coming in to place a take out order at subway 30 mins before they close is annoying.

Yeah, that's kind of messed up.

a half hour is rediculous. they should have been open and served you. i said its annoying when a customer comes in 5 min before you close, but i usually serve them.

I disagree...

You could make that argument with maybe Arby's or Quizno's...or whatever good local sub place you've got...

Ah, ok. For a second there when I read the OP, I thought he was referring to "the subway", i.e. public transit.
And then I was wondering how he would be able to call a particular ticket agent directly. 😱
And they never clean the subway!

I won't eat in a restaurant 30-45mins before closing because I am afraid they will spit in my food.

I went in to Subway near my house around the same time as OP (~9:30), and the dude was in the back somewhere for seriously like at least 5 minutes. There was no one in the store. I could have made myself whatever I wanted, toasted it in that crazy little oven-thing, and then walked off with the till if I was inclined to. I should have at least taken an extra stamp.

Subway is nasty, the last time I was there I saw a roach scurry across the counter and vowed never to return again. I mean I know there are roaches in all places but out of site out of mind 🙂
