I'm in Albany, NY. Yea, I know...life's pretty shitty. One of the few pleasures I get is to watch football.

So my question is: Why has Time Warner decided to play the Dalls/Tampa Bay game rather than the...ooohhh I dunno....PHILADELPHIA/CAROLINA GAME?!!

I haven't really checked a map in the past few weeks so I might be a little rusty on my geography, but I'm under the impression that Philly and Carolina are a lot closer than Dallas or Tampa Bay.

Cable? More like GAY-ble. Take that, Time Warner!

I was just "given" the "package" by DTV and most games are blacked out ... no matter what. I'll be canceling quite soon.

you're blaming your cable company for what the network and/or your local affiliate decided to air?

How does the geographic location of the team's origin affect the quality of the game? It's pretty much arbitrary. Sports fans confuse me.

I may be out of line here, and please correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm under the impression that the closer you are to a team, the higher the concentration of fans for that team.

Umm. You realize the cable company has 0 control over what game the local affiliate of a network channel shows, right?

I am aware of this, but when the description for the program says Philly Eagles v. Carolina and it's Dallas v. Tampa, Time Warner gets my anger for not fixing either program description or contacting Fox.

Seeing as how I didn't miss Michael Vick getting his leg broken in HD, I've become less angry :)
