What the...CD-RW Drive?

I just bought a CD-RW drive from Verbatim. It's the VBT481248A. On the box, it says it's 48x12x48. I just popped it in and my system properties says it's a Cendyne 48x16x48. Is this right? I'm confused. Even on the CD drive it says 48x16x48...weird. I got 4x more on my CD-RW.

And I can't find the software for it. Cendyne doesn't market a 48x16x48x, and the v-pgi.com doesn't have the driver page up yet. Any suggestions or comments?
