I would have to agree, seti is will tear you cpu up if it's not stable.

I'm running my C566 at 850 at 1.65v, how long do I need to let seti run.
All night or what.

Run Prime95 and SETI as a screensaver. That way your CPU usage will be near 100% all the time. After 24 hours I would guess you'll have worked out any instabilities, but the longer the better.
