also what should i get for a 512k cabe line?
 
You should be getting between 300 and 400kbps.

It was cool to learn I was upgraded to 1Mbps lately, cause now my average is around 750-800kbps. W00t!
 
Speakeasy.net . Many different POPs to test at, they basically are the same type of tests DSL Reports uses.



I use DSL Reports too. Download DR. TCP and use the tweak test at DSLR when you get your connection to get the most out of it. Most O/S's are set for dial-up speeds. It makes a big difference. I was getting about 1Mbit before changing my RWIN and MTU, after I got 3Mbit+.
