What temperature?

I have a 6800 NU 16/6 all pipes and shader open
I've been noticing some artifacts when I play games for a long time. I'm wondering if that's being caused by my card being too hot. It's at 48C idel and jumps to almost 70C full throttle. Is that too hot? Or could something else be causing the card to act up?
Also, I've unclocked the card back to factory specs just to be safe, but I still get gliches every once and a while.

Thanks

You probably get artifacts because your pipes are defective. Try closing the pipes and playing your games again.

Your temp is fine, cant help you w/ the artifacts thought, if the pipes are damaged, you get artifacts instantly when you try to play any game.

My 6600GT gets up to 76c durring a game when I OC it and I don't have any issues. Not the same card but... <shrug>

Try the video card in another computer and see if you get the same results.
Try and see if it only happens in certian 3D games.

How long does it take before you get artifacts normaly?

Try underclocking your card to see if it may be related.

49-61 stock cooling oc'd @ 380/777, i only got arties when i unlocked the pipes. try disabling your and play a game. if no arties, then its ur pipes. its worth a try

I have a BFG 6800 OC nonGT/nonUltra. I have it running at 16/6 and 391mhz core/784mhz memory. Rivatuner shows my temps in the upper 40's to lower 50's at idle, and I've never seen it go higher then 58 while gaming.
