What temp is too high?

Does anyone know (either from experience or training, not just reading posts) what temp is too high for CPU's? At what point do they start degrading? I've noticed pIII's run a lot cooler then celeries, but where do you draw the line? Any input is welcome, please post!

I try not to go above 50 C. Well that's just my opnion.
