A little cold tonigiht.

That's -24F for you people stuck on the old system. :p

About 22C inside right now. At work.

Nice thing about being on nights is I don't need to get up to go to work in these cold mornings. Much easier getting up naturally and spending a bit of time at home than getting up to an alarm and having to rush to work in the cold.

Just got home from work, holy crap! It really is cold out there. I forgot to bring an extension cord so I did not plug my car at work, it struggled to start but started. Clock is reset at 12:00 just to show how much it struggled.

Got home and tried to set the auto starter so that the car keeps running when I take the key out (need it to unlock my house) but it would not work, so the car stopped. would not start again. Had to jump start it, now it's running. Debating on what to do. I should be going to bed, but I don't really want to leave the car running for 8 hours. I could put it on the charger, but I risk getting it stolen. Guess I'll just let it run for an hour or so and go to bed after, and maybe try to start it when I get up. I just don't want the battery to freeze or it will kill all the plates.

I wish they would make it so when you plug the car in, it also charges the battery, to me this would make a lot of sense. Just have a cheap trickle charger built into the car.

A gray day in Texas. Should be sunny mid 50s Sunday, then topping out in the 60s all next week.

Starting to warm up, only -22 outside, suppose to come up to -9 in the next few days.

Currently 23C throughout the house. The furnace has been running for a solid 10+ hours to bring it up this high. Feeling a little chilly today. :p

Went away for the weekend. A couple years ago I replaced the thermostat on our coal stove with a simple dial that controls the feed rate. (Electronics were fried & it was about $100 cheaper; generally doesn't matter since we keep the house will into the 70's all winter.) Before we left, I set it back from 3 1/2 to 2 1/2. My wife didn't realize and also set it back 1 more, to 1 1/2. It was 40 degrees in the house when we got home; in the 30's in the bedrooms. Teens outside.

25F outside, 60F inside.

gotta get up and set the thermostat up to 68F manually in a minute. I've got it programmed to cut down to 60F from 7 am - 6 pm M-F while I'm at work, but I'm working from home today and don't feel like shivering all day.

19C in my home office, -14C outside. It's finally warming up! Staying in the double negative digits which is nice... hate when it gets too hot and snow starts to melt, makes everything messy. If it can stay this way for a while it will be perfect.
