what temp does a cpu run at while gaming?

Mine runs at 34-35c while gaming. I like it much more than the 3.0c for this reason (they run HOT!!)

I have a P4 3.06 that does 52 C when gaming. I think both Intel and AMD will throttle down if they get too hot. But then your FPS will suffer somewhat I would think.

That sounds very high for your setup, unless it's oc'd ... Are you sure the heatsink is making good contact with the cpu core, and have you used good thermal compound?

Interesting. My CPU temp sounds pretty normal now. While playing games it gets around 49-50celcius and at idle around 37celcius. I actually lowered my CPU temps around 4 celcius when I applied my thermal paste just a tad bit thicker(and applied it with my finger) than I originally did. It's runs those temps now at 11.5x200mhz with a vcore of 1.6.
