What systems do those arcade machines use?

I am talking about the modern arcade machines. What systems are they using? How come there are no long loading times in them, unlike the regular gaming machines we have.

It isn't hard to build a system the size of a refrigerator that will load 1 game almost instantly.

You know, this reminds me, I haven't read up on the latest arcade systems, like the Triforce and whatever Namco's using...hmmmm, time to do some searching.

But to answer your question, they don't have the whole cabinet loaded with a system, most of it's empty internals and the monitor, but it is designed like a cartridge-based system (maybe not cartridge, I know, but just for comparison's sake), so there's no drive reading a disc...much like how the N64 didn't have the load times that the PSX did. If I knew more, I'd tell you. :)
