What Star Trek minor character do you wish the show had covered more?

Can be from any of the seasons.

I would have liked to know more about Guinan on The Next Generation. Seems like a missed opportunity for a rich backstory about her species.

I think they intentionally kept Guinan ambiguous for those Deus ex Machina moments when they needed her to know something or someone without bothering to explain why.

Writers meeting: "Wait, Wait, how is the Enterprise going to get this vital information in the nick of time?" "Guinan just knows it". "Deal, let's go for lunch."

I thought the character with the most potential for a really interesting backstory was Garak the tailor from DS9. Every glimpse into his past was good.

What's her face that noodied up and they killed her off early in the show, then brought her back as another character.

EDIT: Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby)

The doll falls into an eddie in the time space continuum, comes to life as a Raggedy Anne doll, goes back in time, and Kirk has sex with it.
I believe you but I thought it was Molly on the Big Comfy Couch. Kirk definitely had sex.

There was an episode where Data went back in time to 19th century US and ran into Guinan who was living there among humans. I was always thought it would've been funny if they made it 20th century with Guinan living on Earth masquerading as an actress Whoopi Goldberg 🙂

Spock's parents.

They may have been covered somewhere in more detail but not in anything I've ever seen.

How does a Vulcan get nasty with a human?
Enterprise covered this in some detail. Maybe more than you want; maybe less. 😛

Mainly season 3 and the end of season 4. It streams on Prime Video if you'd like to watch. (But remember it was on broadcast TV.)
