For me, it's how raw my windpipe and lungs get after breathing hard for longer than 45-60 minutes. Sure, I get pains elsewhere, but this is what becomes unbearable and makes me stop running every time.
I wonder if smoking for 15 years before I quit 2 years ago is causing this? Maybe I need to keep pushing it and by doing so I can build up more tolerance to it? But it feels like the "skin" in my lower windpipe is pealing off if I keep going.
So what is the pain that makes you stop running/biking/whatever endurance exercise it is you do?
