What speeds do the KT133A boards support?

On www.pricewatch.com there are some ads that list kt133a boards as supporting processors from 600 - 1000 MHz. Is it true that kt133a doesn't support anything over 1GHz?

It does. Are you sure the description doesn't say something like "600~1000+MHz"?

It most likely means that the board haven't been tested with speeds above 1GHz and is not guaranteed to support it. However that is not the same as saying it won't.
I just checked with the MSI K7T Turbo-R, it supports 600~1500MHz or faster.

How well do the processors that were designed for 100 mhz bus do on the 133 chipsets? Do you need to have a 133 processor (like the 1.2 gig Tbird) to get the speed enhancements, or can you do it with the Tbird 850's too?

most processors designed for the 100 bus will run OK on the 133 bus. if the chip is a gooden', then with the default multiplier and 133 bus, it'll run. otherwise, u'll have to unlock the chip using pencil trick or the Locktite kit to lower the multiplier so that FSB * Multiplier is less than the limit of the overclock of the chip.
