What speakers do you recommend?

I'm looking to buy some new speakers. I don't want to spend too much though ( < 101$ ), and I'd be fully satisfied with a 2.1 set.

I saw the altec lansing atp3 which seem to be very popular, and the Altec Lansing 2100 which carry a higher price tag but don't seem as popular. Anyone tried those? the 2100 certainly look much better than the ATP3, but do they sound as good?

Would you recommend any other speakers?

seriously, the logitech 360 and 560speakers have been highly praised here for their miserly-based pricing and great sound.

Of course, as anyone who has dealth with sound will tell you, hear the speakers before you buy them...go to best buy and try them out.

I had the Z-560's and the Z-340's both were really good. The 340's lacked highs, but had good bass response and nice mids. The 560's were really awesome speakers, but couldn't turn them up over 1/4 of the way so I got rid of them. Now I have the ATP3's and they sound really nice. Not that much bass, good mids and good highs. I would reccomend them, only if you can't get the Z-560's. 😀

I have the z-540's, no complaints at all. I think you can get them for 50 bucks or so. Check the Hot Deals forum, do a search for them. Someone had them with a 10 dollar rebate.

You can't wrong with the Yamaha YSTMS50W 80-Watt 3-Piece Subwoofer/Satellite Computer Speakers. These are first set of speakers and absolutley love them.
