Guillemot Fortissimo II for me.....the third card i had for my pc and prob the last for a long time there i no need to get rid of this very nice sounding card....no matter what you use it for......all thoe it plays into my philips system but that just means i have much bigger speakers and rms of kick sounds eh...........yeah man!!!

I have the good ol' SB Live! Value. It isn't the best sound card in the world, but it sounds pretty decent, and does the job. Plus, today I got a y splitter for one of the stereo jacks. Now I can have my speakers and headphones plugged in simultaneously with a 4.1 setup! Yay, no more getting down on my knees to switch every time I don't want to wake the others in my house with late night gaming.

GTXP...but if the Audigy had the capability to do 6.1 and be driver upgradable to 7.1 surround sound--I'd be all over it.

SB Live! Value. Being the Linux zealot that I am, I like for it's well written and maintained drivers (not to mention it just rules).

Audigy OEM on my Palomino rig and some C-media crap on my Cumine rig. I used to use the Enhanced VIA onboard that came with my EPoX though, must say it sounded better than the C-media crap.

One system has the Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL sound card, which uses the CMedia chip on it. In my other system I have a generic OEM Vortex 2 card.

True, but they lack ongoing support. As long as they already have good drivers it isn't a big issue though. Also, I forgot I already posted on here. Sorry I posted again needlessly. Heh.

On-board C-Media 4.1 on my IWill KK266-R. Have found no reason to buy a separate sound card. Had a close look at Audigy but so far have decided against it.

<< I pity all you fools with Sound Blasters >>

KMA 🙁

I got a SBLive Plat 5.1, luvin every minute of it!

<< Philips Acoustic Edge ... it kicks butt. Too bad more people don't know about it. >>

I was considering both the SB Audigy Mp3+ and Philips AE soundcards. The Philips AE cars is the best for music, but the folks over at 3Dss sometimes complain of so-so drivers. The FireWire port on the Audigy is a big added-value feature for me too.
