Cheers all!
I'm looking for a little input on what people prefer to see when reading motherboard reviews, specifically in terms of what benchmarks or programs? What would you give the most weight towards or first look for?
Such as SiSoft Sandra or Everest for memory system stats, Cinebench or SuperPi, 3dmark06 or Aquamark or 3dmark05, and so on ad infinitum.
I'm especially interested in getting a few ideas on what video or audio tests y'all would might want to see, or if encoding should be included in such a motherboard review or comparison? And if encoding was a "yes" I'd definitely appreciate an example here as far as the preferred or most commonly used program/ encoding tool. Naturally freeware is great, but it doesn't have to be so; I'd welcome all opinions just to get a better feel towards the general consensus.
If y'all hadn't already surmised, I'm in the midst of my first attempt at a mainboard review (Not here, unfortunately!
) and figured it would be a good idea to make sure I was actually doing some benchmarks that any readers would actually be interested in and could use. I guess I'd better quit throwing questions around as there's never a shortage of 'em in the first place... So, thanks again!
