"Epic" to me is a certain intangible quality that evokes a certain kind of emotional response. Here are some examples of what I consider epic:

Marillion - Lady Nina
Phil Collins - Take Me Home
The KLF - Last Train to Trancentral
Rush - The Spirit of Radio
Rush - Time Stand Still
Saga - On the Loose
Sting - Desert Rose
U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name
INXS - Don't Change
Van Halen - Running With the Devil
