What song should our first dance be to?

Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
Love is All Around - Wet Wet Wet
Imagine - John Lennon
Just the Way You Are - Billy Joel

That's it - all the good slow songs from my music collection have been mentioned in this thread. 😀

Hahahaha awesome

i guess my secret is out, that song will be for the wedding night 😀

When we are counting the gifts? 😕
LOL, are you two posting from the same house?

She's on the ibook in bed and I am sitting about 6 feet north of her on the PC. 😀

i like marc anthony's "i need you" but since he married j'lo all his songs have been barred from my wedding. (whenever that is.)

there's a song called "no one else comes close" and its been done by joe and backstreet boys.

michael w. smith - love of my life

richard marx - can't help falling in love

savage garden - truly madly deeply or i knew i loved you

lifehouse - breathing (i just love the lyrics of this song...)

A couple more:

My girlfriend and I's 'song' is Beautiful Tonight by Eric Clapton. It's a classic, and an absolutely wonderful way to start a marriage. It was the last song played at our senior prom, and I'll never forget it.
)
That's "Wonderful Tonight", by Eric Clapton. Way to know "your" song. 😉

My girlfriend would kill me if she knew...but seriously, I was listening to it as I typed the post, I can't believe I made a mistake like that! :Q

Okay, here are some good ones:

"Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis....classic wedding dance...I've heard it at quite a few. Had it played at mine, not our bride/groom dance, but it must be played.

"What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Classic.

"Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith...this was our song we danced to...was a toss-up between this one and:

"I Can Love You Like That" by All4One.

"With This Ring" by the Platters, not really a slow dance song, but you may want the DJ to play it at some point.

Edwin McCain has 2 songs..."I'll Be", and "I Could Not Ask For More". Both are great for weddings.

"Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton....mentioned earlier, great tune.

"Cupid" by Sam Cooke.

"Can't Stop Loving You" by Van Halen, if you like to rock a bit more than the classics above.

"My Girl" by the Temptations....you might want it played even if you don't have your official dance to it.

There are more, but remember, you can pretty much give a playlist to the DJ of songs you want to hear at some point....that's what we did, but still let the DJ play some dance stuff to get people up.

I'm saying either:

A. I've Got Friends in Low Places - Garth Brooks

B. It's the End of the World As We Know It - REM

She says no. 😕

😀
Ummm, I agree with her.

I also agree with her if she wants you to change your avatar to a man.

If you guys help... we will post so many hot girl pics from our receptions and honeymoon... i promsise!!! 😉
In that case, I'll give y'all a little more help! 🙂

Try Forever Young by Alphaville. It's a little-known song featured in an 80s movie called Listen to Me, starring Kirk Cameron. Bad movie, great song. It's one of my favorites.
I had no idea there were going to be benefits!!! Ummm, ok let me think...

OK, if we're picking cheesy songs from 80's movies, I'll suggest "In Your Eyes" from Peter Gabriel. Sorry, that's all I can come up with. I want pics anyway!!!

Here's my suggestions. They're great songs! Trust!

- EOL - I Fall So Deep
- Innerlude - I Really Love You
- Devotion - More Than Words
- Amel Larrieux - Make Me Whole

This song is for down the line at your first anniversary...

- Ok Go - Get Over It

Enjoy! I really reccomend the Amel Larrieux song or the Devotion remake song. Personally I love the EOL song, but I don't think it fits. The Amel song would be great though! Congrats! 😀
