Heh....same here. I was a huge Maiden fan back in the mid-late 80's and I'm sure my mom went nuts with me blaring my cassettes in the bedroom. I'm sure she thought I was going to burn in hell as many times as I blasted "Number of the Beast." :D

Edit: I also have to include Suicidal Tendencies. When I hit my skateboard phase, I was really into that self-titled album that had "I Saw Your Mommy" and "Institutionalized" on it. I had the LP and used to blast that thing on my record player.

Freebird was the only song my parents asked me to always listen to with headphones on. Unfortunately for them, it was my favorite song and I would listen to the live and studio versions over and over and over...

Always the same response from them... "That's not music!!!"

my dad doesnt like "one of these days" by pink floyd

but for the most part, i never listened to much that bothered him....and if i did, i made sure he never heard it.

he did, however, complain for weeks after buying me a NES about the mario brothers theme song. said he couldnt get it out of his head and it was driving him nuts

My father didn't allow music played at a volume he could hear. Except for traditional Christmas songs during the holidays.

LOL! Led Zeppelin pissed off everyone's parents it seems!

Not mine! My dad is a huge Zeppelin fan and turned my mom into one when they met. They've even been to a few Robert Plant concerts :p

None of the music I listen to pisses off my dad. I told him a little while ago I was getting into Phish and he was a little skeptical.. then I let him listen and he really liked it. Radiohead really gets on my mom's nerves though, it probably doesn't help that they're my favorite band :p

You gotta remember that this was the late 70's/early 80s, where dads were still acting a lot like 60's sitcom dads. "Squeeze me babe, till the juice runs down my leg..." was a shocking lyric at the time, and when he figured out what squeezing a lemon was about, he didn't want me listening to Zep anymore :) It's still one of my favorite guitar works.

That stupid "Does your chain hang low?" song. My son likes it and I try my best to forbid him to listen to that crap.

Oh, and anything AC/DC, and all new Metallica.
