When I was a kid they played Turkey In The Straw. Now they play some annoying song that says Hello.

Basic ice cream truck jingle, not a real song AFAIK.

There is a huge construction project going on across the street from my favorite golf course and it's employing thousands of workers. So there are a LOT of food trucks on the premises to take care of their lunch and coffee breaks. And not surprisingly since its summer, there are a bunch of ice cream truck too. Every time I'm down that end of the course I hear the ice cream trucks jingling their bells and it's an instant Pavlovian response. I desperately want an ice cream, so 9 days out of 10 I stop for ice cream on the way home. I'm so weak.

Oh yeah: "Do Your Ears Hang Low?"

Probably more common than Turkey in the Straw. I bet they get misidentified all the time.

We have one that comes by every day (dude lives in the neighborhood, I think). Doesn't matter the time of year, but it's almost always a christmas tune (Rudolf, Jingle Bells) played in a minor scale. Super creepy.

Also, I think I recall It once playing Fur Elise, which, well, is unnerving.

*ding ding* with a bell on the top of a rusted-out truck with a string routed to inside the cab.

When I was down south in Sauble Beach they did have an actual ice cream truck that passed along the beach line though.

I remember fully dressed skels of dubious hygiene shambling down the beach in the noon day sun calling out, "Take your tongue for a sleigh ride" while trying not to be too obvious about leering at the bikini-clad babes. Wholesome! :p
