I think The Breakfast Club soundtrack pretty much sums it up.

i think teh phrase you're wrong pretty much sums that fallacy up.

I think you need to retake some grammar classes. In addition, you're probably too young to have experienced that film when it came out.

you = :thumbsdown:

If by "grammar" you mean "spelling and punctuation", then yes, you're right. He does.

Dang I was a teen then and never heard most of these songs😱

Paradise City G&R

I was born in '82 and I've heard all of them😛

While this is a very subjective question, and there's some good choices in here, I'd say it'd have to be Jan Hammer's Miami Vice Theme - it's instantly recognizable as 80s to even those who were senior citizens during that decade. Also in that category would be Kenny Loggin's Footloose and anything Duran Duran. Personally though, if you lived through the 80s, I think a better choice would be Simply Red's "Holding back the years."

I am suprised no one's mentioned:

It's the End Of The World As We Know it - REM

or for the pro America contingent:

God Bless the USA - Lee Greenwood

"All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie.

There is a huge difference between early and late 80's in music. Late 80's music was horrible besides Gun and Roses.

The question was what song defined the 80's, not what porno.

It was a song by a band called "Killer Pussy". I'm actually listening to it right now as it is in my collection. It is rather amusing and definitely 80's music.

Psychadelic Furs - Pretty in Pink
Wham - Last Christmas
Billy Idol - White Wedding, Rock the Cradle of Love, Dancing with Myself
Clash - London's Calling
INXS - Don't Change
Joy Division - Love will tear us apart
James - Laid
Modern English - Melt with You
Oingo Boingo - Weird Science
The Smiths - Panic

I agree. How about Dallas theme?

Who's that guy that did 'sledgehammer', that's pretty 80's too.
