What software to benchmark new WD black 500GB drive

I wanted to run some tests to see how my WD Black 500GB drive is performing. What software would you recommend using? I like free software. I'll share my results.

hd tach. It should be pretty fast, mine is about 5-8% slower than my single platter seagate 500GB drive. Its a fair bit faster than the WD Blue 500GB i have thats 3 platters. Just remember you cant test accuratly it if the OS is running off that drive as the read/write of the OS will screw up the test, i tested mine freshly formatted before installing anything onto it.
