As for Nero, there is a great variety of burning software in linux if that's what you are thinking of missing out on.
Well.. if I knew of some FTP server software that gave me the features I wanted (ratio accounts, activity logging, banlists, ect.) I'd be willing to switch my server over to Linux. I primarily use it as a file, FTP, and occasional web server and for burning the odd CD or 2. I know Linux can be configred as a web server with Apache and a LAN file server. And I've already got ISOs of Mandrake 10 and Redhat 9. Haven't really played with them much. Any specific distribution you'd choose?
BTW: I'm using
Bullet Proof FTP server not the standard FTP component of IIS.
