Hmmm ... i loathe a LOT of software I think
(most of this is stuff I haven't seen or used in a long long time)
Microsoft Windows 95
Microsoft Windows 98
Microsoft Windows 98 SE
Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition
Microsoft Windows NT 3.x
Quicktime
Real Media
Any programs that ISPs think you should install to use their service rather than configuring the software that is built in to the OS. (especially aol, compuserv, prodigy, and netzero)
Any version of ICQ newwer than icq98beta.
all's client for aol IM (i much prefer KIT or GAIM)
Netscape
Stoned Spirit, Jerusalem, and Friday the 13th Virii (these are the only virii I have ever infected any of my PCs with, back in the days of the 486, when I didn't know any better)
Microsoft IIS (im sorry but Apache is so much better of a webserver, and i like Proftpd (or even ond versions of SurvU for all you windows folks) a LOT better)
winampa.exe ... I don't like useless crap in my system tray (though I love winamp itself)
Microsoft Minesweeper
That crappy Microsoft "getting started" that pops up on the screen after installing, or creating new user accounts on windows
Xing mp3 codec (though it has improved much over the last 5 years)
all GUI IRC Clients. (BitchX kicks their asses)
Adaptec Easy CD Creator (or roxio or whatever its called now)
Frontpage (the fact that the web is polluted with many poorly designed sites created by this web-atrocity appauls me)
that god damned commet curser thing
Weatherbug ..... Look it tells the temperature and uses 8+MB of ram! Couldn't they have made it run on like 100KB of ram???
Emacs (I think its cause I'm used to Vi)
Koffice (openoffice is much better)
Netscape (I've ran it on windows 9x and 2k as well as Macos 8.5 and 8.6 and also several distros of Linux, Mozilla, Opera, and MSIE are much better. (Currently a big fan of Firebird, though I use MSIE or Konquerer from time to time)
Software I have to access/use at work:
IBM 4690 POS Systems software (maybe i don't hate the software nearly so much as the fact that 90% of the users don't know how to use the software worth a damn, that and if the user screws something up, there isn't a good way to undo lots of things aside from telling them to do paperwork that they do not know how to do either)
Microsoft Office (especially that god damn paperclip thing) I prefer openoffice.org and staroffice.
Lotusnotes (wouldn't be terribly bad If i was using modern PCs at work ... but sometimes I'm stuck at a workstation with 128MB of ram, and well ... having 15 telnet sessions open, as well as about 10 other aps ... I want an Email client that is a bit more efficient with the RAM usage, though its tolerable when I am in my normal spot (that workstation has 256mb of ram at least ...)
Adapt Gateway
Adapt Interaction Client
SCO Unix 5.1 (most of the servers at work run this obselete junk)
Tandem software (for viewing credit/debit transactions, to verify if they went thru, and to pull up rejection codes)
Mastermind (crappy alarm monitoring software that is a pain in the neck to work with)
I think I am done for now. There is a LOT of software that i hate. Have a nice day.
