Any good spreadsheet program can do it. Then any graphic artist can pretty it up.

How do you make it pretty from a excel spreadsheet ?

do you use excel to make the graphs then ? or something else ?

Many are flash animated graphs.
http://www.fusioncharts.com/ is an example.

I don't know about add-ons, but it is very easy to capture an Excel graph as a bitmap graphic and then enhance it with any good paint program - even Windows Paint.
