I think it depends on what you're playing. I'm playing Boom Beach now which requires precise artillery shots in between buildings. That's hard with an iPhone. I did start out on my iPhone 5 before the game launched on Android, but its a pretty big difference. Most of the bloggers play on 4:3 screens (iPad likely). I was wondering for the longest time why their videos are not 16:9 while mine are.

But there's certainly other games like driving games that make more sense on a smaller device rather than an iPad.

Sorry but there is literally a huge difference.

Screen size does matter when it comes to gaming. Thankfully the iPhone 5 isn't as bad as the 3GS was, but it's still too small and always feels cramped to me whenever I play a mobile game.

I think that for every person who thinks "Unless you have tiny girl hands, gaming on an iPhone is annoying thanks to the tiny screen.". There is someone who prefers not having to knuckle a larger screen while playing a game. I am a 5'10" guy with reasonably sized hands and large fingers- I played a ton of games on my 3.5" iphone and don't remember having any real annoyance beyond using a touchscreen in general.

I understand there is a large size difference, where we part ways is that the size difference makes gaming annoying for anyone without tiny lady hands. To each their own.
