Is this the recommend my phone thread?

You want a Nexus 4, it's clearly the best Android device available.

That's up for debate. To some the Maxx HD is the best phone, to others it's the Note 2, while others would say the Nexus 4. Depends on what you want, and the OP asked if there are any that compare to the Note 2.

So by the looks of it the Note 2, Nexus 4, and Optimus G seem to be the contenders that most people have voted for. I guess these are the phones that I personally liked the most, and that I also was looking at buying.

Any major differences between them that separates one from the other?

The Note 2 has the S Pen, which is a real stylus (not the spongy thick tipped crap you see on most mobile devices), it has a lot of features that work great for drawing, note taking and hand writing in general. the N2 also has great battery life (and is removeable/replaceable), and a mSD slot.

The Nexus 4 is pure Android straight from Google, which means great and fast support and an expansive developer community if you're into that.

The Optimus I honestly would not get, partly because LG software isn't that great in my opinion, but also because of the rumors of the updated version coming out.

Has the Optimus G been updated to Jellybean yet?

I personally recommend the Nexus 4. I have it and it's fantastic. I have yet to experience a single stutter on this thing. It's blazing fast. I also use the DNA and it's a great phone. My only gripe is sense is a little bloated still. The One X+ is also a good option if you have a lot of large files, apps etc. thanks to the 64gb of onboard storage. But once again, sense 4+ is still a bit of a pig and it's a bit more of the problem with the One x+ due to the 1gb of RAM. This issue can easily be resolved with CM10.1 however.

Yes its been upgraded I believe? (Or leaked, cant remember).

To be honest, the LG skin on the Optimus G is very slick and speedy. I still think its the fastest feeling Android phone on the market currently.

That being said, The Nexus 4 is my choice, and its available again. I think the One X+ would be my 2nd choice - The 1.7GHz Tegra 3 has a nice boost (GPU especially) over the original Tegra 3 One X+, has 64GB of onboard Memory, the nicest 720p screen on the market, and A top tier camera that's better than the Nexus 4. Its a solid phone.

Why are folks still responding to this thread? OP got a Nexus: see his other thread here complaining about its battery life. ;)
