What sizes for VCache?

I've read a number of conflicting views on the sizes for Min and Max VCache as well as Cache Block Size. Should the min and max be the same value to prevent resizing (and I'm not really clear on what that means) or should they be different sizes? And what size should the chunk or block be? If anyone knows of some authoritative articles, I'd be very grateful for the directions.

128mb PC100
20GB WD Caviar 5400
Win98 (the first one, I believe)
and I play quite a bit of TFC, so I'm trying to get my PC optimized for online gaming.
