Hmmm....

In 1999 I was 16/17. I dropped out of college in February, and started working 60-90 hour weeks at McDonald's in May.

I moved to Indianapolis in 2000 and left soon after. My dad moved out and my friend moved in. Bills got to be too much. Power got cut in 2001 for a month or so. Had to resort to trying to find free food. Ate cabbage quite a few nights.

In 2001 I moved to another town in Indiana and got a job at a radio station. In May of 2002 I got promoted. I started working 60+ hour weeks again, this time for more money. In October I was told that I was draining the company so they cut my pay. I stepped down in December and worked 50 hour weeks, all 7 days, until June of 2003 when I moved down to 42 hours, 6 days.

I moved back home in Jan of 2004, back at McDonald's. In April I got a job at the local NASA, moved again, and I start college two weeks from Friday.

Lots of life lessons learned in that time.

I left highschool with so much promise and potential...

3 years into college and I've switched majors and had to start all over, party too much so I struggle with my grades, and I'm broke. :(

And I don't seem to be nearly as creative as I was my senior year in HS (graphic design major so I need to be a lil' creative at least) :(

graduated HS in '99; have been grinding my way through college ever since. That's what I get for changing majors, I guess :( I'm so tired of school at this point - just want to finish it and move on - that I'm thoroughly convinced that the only good thing I've gotten out of it was my first *serious* girlfriend. Who, by the way, is gone now, so I don't even have that.

Sold Condo, bought a house, had a son. Changed jobs a couple times but that isn't something that I would consider significant progress since I'm pretty much doing the same thing, moved up a bit though in position and pay.

Went from making $20,000 to $70,000
Had my second child, wife currently pregnant with third.
A few deaths in the family
Helped my sister through a difficult time
Moved a bunch of times and finally bought a house

Realized that cool is a euphemism for egocentric, and teenagers really are very much still children, in need of guidance. (apologies to all)
