If you have low water pressure, there probably isn't much you can do. Getting a lower flowing shower head might work and make the streams a little more powerful, but you're going to be getting less water.

The small cheap water saver heads have the best pressure.

It's hard to compensate for low pressure before the shower head.

I think if you pull off the head and pull out the flow resrictor, you will get more water coming out. Worked for me, it is like a rubber washer with a few tiny holes in it. on another type of shower head, I drilled the hole out bigger in the middle.

I've removed that flow restrictor from everyshowerhead in the last the places I've lived and it fixes the problem every time. On the real cheap shower heads, it actually has caused the water to come out so hard that it goes around you (wide pattern) instead of on you, so, you might still need a new shower head... just so you can adjust the flow to your liking afterwards.

Wouldn't that reduce the pressure?

Teledyne WaterPik. Remove the aerator and pressure regulator before installing.

The water has to go out of the same showerhead anyway, so the rubber washer is only an obstructionb before the final release.

Another vote for the speakman anystream. I've been thru a 1/2 dozen, and it is by far the best.

I have an awesome Kingston brass showerhead. I can't seem to find a link online, but it's a great showerhead. I also removed the restricter from it. I can take a pic of it if you want.

You guys are confusing water quantity with water pressure. Removing or modifying the restricter allows more water to flow, but does not increase the water pressure (in fact it reduces pressure at the nozzle).

I got one from Lowes thats white and looks like a 3" ufo on about a foot of neck. It was like $20 and it works awesomely with my low water pressure.
