What show series should I watch now?

Now that Spartacus is done for the season I need a new series. I'm considering

Rome
Deadwood
Games of Thrones
Walking Dead

I like good action, humor is always good, don't necessarily care about nudity in them. I've enjoyed Band of Brothers, Spartacus, Lord of the Rings type stuff, Zombie stuff.

Which is the best and am I missing anything really good?

Game of Thrones. It's got Lord of the Rings stuff AND zombie stuff, and it just started a new season. If you haven't seen The Wire, that's the best show of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Rome and Game of Thrones are good. I couldn't get into Walking Dead and haven't seen Deadwood. I'd also recommend The Pacific.

On another forum I frequent, the first poster mentioned "The Wire" too. I didn't include that b/c it doesn't really seem like my cup of tea. But really I can enjoy and appreciate any genre if it's done well. But maybe that's something I would watch with the Mrs. as well. She wouldn't watch Spartacus, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, or Rome I don't think.

Oooh, I'll have to check out The Pacific too. It seems like one of those I could watch over a summer really quickly and be done with it. LIke I don't have to keep watching season after season to get closure.
That one would be a little more emotional to watch b/c it's kind of "real". I had/have issues watching Band of Brothers again b/c even after all the years you see those old soldier tearing up and crying over what they went through and remember.

It is done very well and is definitely one of the best shows ever.

If you like zombies, the Walking Dead is good. I enjoyed the first season and the second half of the second season.

Rome is good.

Haven't seen Game of Thrones or Deadwood, but they are next on my list.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to dislike The Wire. It's like The Godfather; you may not be a fan, but you can respect its brilliance as mastery of the art form. It seriously is the best show ever and you should definitely check it out. I don't know whether it will appeal to the Mrs. though; mine loved it, but it's definitely geared towards a male audience.

From those choices, i would watch Game of Thrones... absolutely excellent first season.

Quite a few women i know love Thrones. However, if the Mrs is squeamish about sex / violence (more brutal in regards to sex than violence in the series imo), it may not be for her.

I just watched the last episode of the 2nd Walking Dead season last night.

Bravo. Start of 2nd season was a little slow, but the ending was WOOOOOHOOOOOOO

Seriously, a prison? nice cliff hanger.

Game of Thrones is great!

Rome & Deadwood are definitely worth your time. And, of course, The Wire if you haven't yet seen it.
