But you can make a free appointment with a state psychologist to get "licensed" to start earlier if you really want to. The psychologist should verify the person knows what they're doing and what they want and that they aren't being coaxed into it by a third party.

If we trust people to drive at the age of 16 then they should be considered able to make whatever decisions they want for themselves.

in most other countries in the world 8 year old chicks are falling in love and getting married to 70 year old dudes and having kids. if you can get pregnant at 8 obviously jesus wanted you to be having sex at that age, right?

I voted 16 at that's when you can drive legally and any younger would make me feel kinda like a creep not to mention I would have to drive her back home. :biggrin:
 
Damn everyone went right to sex you all are pervs. Fuck I'll say 12 because if some punk ass kid pulled the trigger and killed someone he/she needs the death penalty.

Also sending someone to fight a war at 18 but can't drink a beer until 21 is anther fucked up law.
 
I don't think children really become adults until sometime in their 20s, but I don't think having sex is something that requires full mental maturity to safely participate in. I'm going with 16.
 
I go with 16.

The age of consent should be the same age that a person can be charged as a adult for a crime.
