What should my school's track team do tomorrow for training? Any advice/tips/help?

Our coach has been sick this past week, and he forgot to write us a plan for the week. We also had to take team pictures and there were many other disturbances during the week. So we skate by the week with plyometrics, weight room, and intervals. Well, on Wednesday, we ran 4, 400s, which was still short, since we weren't sure if our coach was here or not. And today, which was a minimum day (no sixth period), we went to the weight room afterschool. I'm pretty sure we'll all be sore by tomorrow, but the assistant field coach said that we should have a hard workout. Does anyone have any clue as to what we should do?

We usually warm up in 6th period, stretch for another 20-25 mins, then drills. But wind-sprints, can you explain what those are?

Lesseehere. It's a Track Team, right? How about this:

Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest. Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Rest.Pushups. Jog. Run. Or for a change of pace, you could all strap bloody porkchops to your butts and try to outrun a dozen hungry Alaskan Malamute dogs. By the time training was completed, you'd all be damn fast or damn dead. No in-between. 😀

Hope this helps. 😀

Greeeeaaat, so along with buttlock, we're supposed to contend with a dozen Alaskan Malamute dogs?! 😛 Now where can i find some Malamutes down in Southern Cali....

Pyramids! 500, then a 400, then a 300, then a 200, then a 100, then a 200....back up to 500! Really fun!

Buttlock...LOL! 😀 In all seriousness, after reading your original post, it sounds to me like you guys are in great shape. Hitting the weights, running everyday. Your coach will be pleased. 🙂

I forgot what they're called, but our coach would have us run ten laps sprinting the turns and jogging the straights. 10 minute break then 10 more laps.

Run laps carrying milk jugs filled with sand. We used to have to do Figure 8's for soccer around the entire field carrying the milk jugs. Boy did it suck, but it whipped my @$$ in shape fast.
