What should my first Blu-Ray movie be?

I want to watch The Last Samurai, Serenity, or Gladiator.

GF isn't a fan of those and want's to watch Wanted, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, or some other action type movie.

You might as well let your girlfriend pick. She's got you by the balls, so you know you aren't going to have a say in this matter anyway.

Listen to the GF.

Iron Man is excellent on Blu-Ray. I'd like to see Gladiator though too.

I've heard that Dark Knight is also excellent on Blu-Ray.

Considering everything... Fatal Attraction?
(Is that even on BR?)

Kung Fu Panda had lots of pretty colors

I thought the amazing thing about Kung Fu Panda was being to actually see single strands of fur on the animals.

Baraka gets my vote. It is THE best digital transfer ever made, of one of the most visually striking films in history. Just a stunning accomplishment. I just gave this to my mom with the Samsung BD-P2500 I gave her for Christmas.

I was actually disappointed with the quality of The Dark Knight. Just seemed grainy at times and you notice the resolution changes on many of the scenes. Though if you're a fan of the movie you obviously would go blue-ray anyway, but it's not the best of what blue-ray has to offer.

kingdom of heaven. it was stunning in bluray and the directors cut adds quite a bit to the original story that made it to theaters.

Iron Man or WALL-E.

Dark Knight has received a lot of criticism for a poor transfer and annoying aspect-ratio changes in the middle of the movie. Haven't seen it in person to confirm that, though.
