What should I use to extend the rear Z-5300 speakers

What kind of cable should I use to extend the distance I can put my Z-5300 speakers back.

I have them on a thin plank, and with kids running around in the house, they get knocked off more than they should.

I'm going to mount them on the rear wall. Any special mounting things I need for them as well?

I just got the same speakers today, totally kick ass. Im guessing just regular speaker cable, but since the cable is already connected you will have to cut it and then soder the extra cable you get. For the mounting, go down to your local hardware store and look for some screws that will fit inside the round holes in the bottom of the speaker mount and can be drilled into the wall.

On a side note, which inputs on your sound card did you put all three wires comming out of the 5300? my audigy 2 platinum isnt color coded, its just all gold inputs. Since I dont have my audigy manual I have no clue which input is which besides the input for the green wire.

Go to radioshack. They have what you want, which is likely just an RCA extension cable.

Never thought about that.

It's a much better solution than slicing up cables.

Your speakers should be plugged in, starting from the left when facing the back of the computer, rear surround, right\left, center\sub. I THINK. That's just going off of memory. Anyways, run the little speaker applet that Creative gives you and do the channel test. That should let you get them all plugged in correctly through process of elimination.

Ha! My Audigy LS is color coded.

Put the black cable in the one next to the MIDI port, put the green next to that one. Put the last one on the last connection to the card.
