What should I use to clean my monitor?

I just bought a brand new 21" FD Trinitron and I wanna clean the glass. I used Eythel Alcohol on my old 17" Viewsonic and worked fine but this is a much more exspensive monitor and dont wanna damage it. What should I use to clean and what to use to do it (paper towel?)

Dust it with a fined feather duster... that's what I do.. they also sell cleaning solutions at computer shops (if you're THAT anal) basically Windex to me in disguise. If you're going to wipe, use a fine grade, cloth... like the ones you'd use to clean your eye-glasses.... I once got so anal that I used the OAKLEYs cloth bag to clean my LCD monitor... 🙂

I had a little accident with using rubbing alcohol on a 17" Sony Trinitron SEII (to take off the thrift store's damned permanent marker! :| ) awhile back that made me switch to using a clean terrycloth towel, and "Clear View" lens cleaner. I'd say you'd be fine with water, or any cleaner that states specifically that it is safe for use on "tinted lenses, including anti-reflective," as this one does, or something to that extent. The towel is replaced every few weeks, to a month BTW, depending on my room's grime & dust factor. 🙂
