Alright, well I finally jumped on the wagon and have started to tool around with Coolbits to try and overclock my MSI Geforce 7800GT. Now, I know nearly all of you would recommend 3Dmark05 and 06, but unfortunately for me, 3DMark05 crashes right around the 4th test (it crashes right after the test showing the zeppeling being attacked by the huge water monster). The weird thing though, while it crashes a benchmarking program like 3DMark, it can run games and applications (Prime95, Memtest, etc etc) perfectly fine, stable for hours sometimes even a few days on end.
So since 3DMark is out of the question, what game or program should I use to benchmark and test overclocks on my graphics card? Currently I am using multiplayer Battlefield 2 as a test, since the graphics are quite intense and demanding, plus I heard that the game was developed using Nvidia technology, just like with Doom 3 (I don't have). I have tried using that rthbthl or whatever its called, but it doesn't help me at all. Should I continue using Battlefield 2 as a my testing ground, or perhaps one of you can recommend an alternative? Thanks much in advance.
